About The Artist

Martha Colón is a New York City based artist with a diverse repertoire spanning fine art illustration, clothing design and textile surface design. Born in Honduras and raised in the Bronx, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and most recently at the School of Visual Arts, where she completed a residency in Illustration and Visual Storytelling.
She began her career in the textile industry creating patterns for home furnishings and commercial markets. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her toward fashion design — a clothing line that appeared in New York Magazine, Lucky and other major publications, attracting clients including Victoria's Secret, Patricia Fields and Cirque du Soleil.
Her fine art practice today centers on painting, drawing and etching — all told through the world of MeowCleeva®. Martha is a member of the Society of Illustrators in New York City and a proud member of the Made in NYC community of makers.
As seen in The New York Times, Broadway World and W42nd Street Magazine.

n 2026 Martha brought her design expertise to the world of theatrical costume — serving as Costume Production Designer for Rock Never Dies, an immersive live production at Hard Rock Cafe Times Square, New York City. The production features faithful reproductions of three iconic rock stage costumes — two legendary Elton John ensembles including the famous Duck outfit from his iconic 1980 Central Park concert, and The Artist's Purple Rain outfit. Fabric and trim sourcing, pattern design, production supervision and complete styling — all by hand, all in New York City. Costumes featured on Broadway World.
